Shadows of Nothingness
Join Pedagogies of Hope Collective members, Cassidy Burr, Maddi Chan, Stephanie Rico, and Aytak Dibavar, in a panelist conversation on archives, silence, and erasures as part of the opening reception for Shadows of Nothingness, an art exhibition by Aytak Dibavar. The panel will be hosted by our friends at Durand Coffee, on Oct 18, from 5-7PM. Food will be provided, and drinks available for purchase.
The Little Black Fish
Step into the world of "The Little Black Fish" to hear the untold tales of Iranian queer community; the stories of love, loss, desire, hope, exile, pain, joy, longing, and displacement. Take a front seat at our show and let the little black fish guide you through our stories of survival and critical reimagining of Samad Behrang's children's literary classic.
Check out our social media for more info on dates and times of up-coming performances.
Pedagogies of Hope Blog
We've launched a blog! Check out our latest posts here.
We want to create space for conversations about the complications and multiplicities involved in thinking about hope, (un)learning, dreamings, and re/imaginings, both within and beyond the classroom. We invite individual or collaborative submissions from all learners, artists, activists, educators, academics, students, and community members. We welcome you to join the conversation and share your own knowledge(s) about hope, classrooms/ learnings, futures/utopia, enacting critical pedagogy, embodiment, art-based learning, counter-hegemonic learnings, and other thoughts on working in collectives.
